My writing
This site contains poetry, fiction, essays, and drama I have written (under the Verse and Prose links) and a blog about writers, writing, film, art, and all kinds of ideas (Blog). Under April 2013 poems you will find most of the poems I wrote for National Poetry Writing Month.
About me
I was born in Odessa, Texas, and grew up (mostly) in Texas and New Mexico. In 1979, I left the United States for the small town of Hallstahammar, Sweden. I have lived in Sweden about 24 years, about five in Japan (Tokyo and Sapporo), and one in Australia (Sydney). During my first decade in Sweden, I taught English to adults and photography to children and I studied Russian, Japanese, Economics, and Business at the universities in Uppsala and Stockholm. In May 2007, I graduated with a B.A. in History from New Mexico State University, where I also began playing tennis.
Since 1989, I have provided language services—translating from Swedish into English and editing English-language documents—through my company Witchcraft International Network AB. I specialize in financial information for corporate clients and legal documents for private individuals. I am currently treasurer of the Anglican Episcopal Church in Stockholm, St. Peter’s and St. Sigfrid’s Church.
A member of the Stockholm Writers Group, I write verse, fiction, drama, and essays. In 2012, I had the pleasure of attending the “Believing in Writing” workshop in Collegeville, Minnesota, and in 2013 I attended the Southampton Writers Conference on Long Island, New York. My muse is named “Stefan.”
Hi there nice to meet you and thank you for following my blog. I started blogging to cope with the mental stresses of recovering from an accident making it an angry blog, now it has hopefully grown into a
blog, blog . Have a good week 🙂
Thanks for reading! I like your illustrations, especially the colors. I haven’t taken the time to figure out how to add graphics the way I’d like. I don’t blog regularly but started this one because I was going to do a reading with two friends and they had been blogging a lot. I have another reading in 2 weeks and I’m hoping to present one of the NaPoWriMo poems then.
